*Staff Accountant with Sales and Use Tax experience*

PrideStaff Financial is partnering with a nationwide publicly traded media company to search for a Staff Tax Accountant with indirect tax experience to join their team in Irving, Texas.

This is an onsite opportunity.

Pay: $65-75k with 8% - 10% discretionary bonus

The position will be responsible for reconciling GL accounts and filing Sales and Use tax and property tax for multiple states.

Brief responsibilities:

• Prepare related filing for sales and use, gross receipts, and business tax for various facilities
• Support Sales and use tax compliance, and monthly journal entries
• Assist with monthly property tax accruals, retrieval & review of property tax bills, and processing of property tax accruals
• Assist with the unclaimed property and escheatment process, to ensure compliance and research significant items
• Reconciliation of select general ledger accounts including sales and use tax, property tax, and unclaimed property liabilities.
• Review of use tax accruals for CIP
• Assist with tax audits
• Assist with organization & maintenance of all tax records.
• Assist with tax notices and exemption certificates

Qualifications:

• BS in Accounting, Finance, or Business
• Indirect tax experience
• Candidate should have 1-3 years working experience in accounting or tax-related field
• Proficiency in Excel
• Good interpersonal skills, including the ability to work as a team member
• Must possess good analytical, organizational, and technical skills, and be self-started
• Flexibility and positive attitude in a dynamic work environment
• Excellent time management skills
• Ability to work with cross functional teams
• Good communication skills and professional presence
