BILLING SPECIALIST

Our client is seeking a Billing Specialist for the corporate office located in Oakbrook Terrace, IL.

Full Time, TEMP-TO-HIRE

Pay : $20-$22 / hour

8 : 00AM-5 : 00PM (8 hr Shift M-F)

JOB DESCRIPTION :

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Receiving and sorting incoming mail and payments
• Manage status of accounts and payments
• Issue and post bills, receipts and invoices
• Reads and routes incoming mail. Locates and attaches appropriate files to correspondence to be answered by the employer.
• Research claim rejections, make corrections, and / or refer claims to appropriate team members.
• Makes copies of correspondence or other printed materials.
• Prepares outgoing mail and correspondence, including e-mail and faxes.
• Other duties may be assigned.

EDUCATION :

• High School Diploma or GED Required.
• Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school Preferred.

EXPERIENCE :

• 2 or more years of experience in healthcare billing and coding experience Required.
• 1 or more years experience in a medical office Preferred.
