This position is responsible for coordinating and supporting various human resources functions, programs, systems, and procedures to maximize the effectiveness of employees and to ensure compliance with labor laws at all company departments. Coordination in the areas of employment, employee file maintenance, benefits, payroll, employee relations, orientation, training, workplace safety, and personnel policies and procedures. Bi-lingual/Spanish, read, write & speak.
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
? Administers health and welfare plans, including enrollments, changes, and terminations.
Processes required documents through payroll and insurance providers to ensure accurate record-keeping and proper deductions.
? Performs customer service functions by answering employee requests and questions.
? Completes Forms I-9, verifies I-9 documentation and maintains I-9 files.
? Submits online investigation requests and assists with new-employee background checks.
? Conduct New Employee Orientation (NEO) for new hires.
? Conducts audits of payroll, benefits, workers comp or other HR programs and recommends corrective action.
? Assists with processing of terminations and other changes in status reports.
? Assists with the preparation of the performance review process.
? Assists with recruitment and interview process. Tracks status of candidates in HRIS and responds with follow-up letters at the end of the recruiting process.
? Schedules meetings and interviews as requested by the director of HR.
? Makes photocopies; mails, scan, and emails documents; and performs other clerical functions.
? Files documents into appropriate employee files.
? Assists or prepares correspondence as requested.
? Prepares new-employee files.
? Processes mail. Monitor HR email and ensure a 24-hour response time.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
? 1 years of experience as an HR Coordinator (essential)
? Bilingual (English Spanish a must)
? AA or BA in Business or Human Resources related field. (Combination of school and experience will be considered)
