Line Cook :
Location : Denver, CO 80207
Hours : Variable schedule : 4pm to 11 : 30pm
Pay : $22-23 / hr., Depending on Experience
Experience : Minimum 1 year of commercial kitchen experience.
We are looking for someone passionate about the culinary arts to join our Culinary team. If you are creative, motivated, and passionate about expanding your talents in the kitchen, we want to talk.
Successful candidates will have previous experience working in a professional kitchen environment, a strong desire to learn, develop skills and work with culinary leadership to create menus reflecting seasonal availability and concept.
The Line Cook assists the Chef in production and fabrication of food products for kitchen preparation, cafeteria, banquet cooking, dining room, and fine dining.
The Line Cook will maintain a passive leadership role in maintaining an adequate production level from the kitchen staff.
Line Cook Responsibilities :
- Develop knowledge and skills in various cooking methods (grill, saute, and fry).
- Safely operate with knives and various kitchen equipment.
- Develop and recreate recipes.
- Execute consistency in all food preparation.
- Minimize food waste through cross utilization.
- Create workstations with all necessary ingredients and equipment.
- Prepare ingredients to use in cooking (chop and peel vegetables and cut meat).
- Maintain a sanitized and orderly environment in the kitchen.
- Ensure proper storage of food and other items.
- Responsible for the quality of all ingredients.
Line Cook Requirements :
- A high school diploma or GED preferred.
- Ability to read, interpret, and execute recipes.
- Minimum 1 year experience in a commercial kitchen.
- Ability to work with a world class culinary team..
- Able to execute with teamwork in a fast paced environment
- Experience meeting deadlines while maintaining strict quality standards.
