Primary Services is excited to announce the role of Control System Engineer for our client in the energy sector. This position offers a unique opportunity to provide in-depth Electrical, Instrumentation, and Automation engineering support to a large, industry-leading company. As part of the Center of Excellence (CoE) Engineering team, the Control System Engineer will play a pivotal role in supporting growth initiatives, collaborating with business development and commercial teams, and delivering sustainable, cost-effective solutions for the design and construction of storage terminals and related infrastructure.

Responsibilities:

• Provide Electrical, Instrumentation, and Automation engineering support for growth initiatives, focusing on the design and construction of terminals and related infrastructure.
• Develop technical proposals, prepare engineering documents, and create vendor specifications.
• Prepare cost estimates and manage budgets, schedules, and task timelines in coordination with internal teams to optimize costs, processes, and quality.
• Review and develop technical specifications to stay current with technological advancements.
• Coordinate and participate in project reviews, technical analyses, peer reviews, and HAZOP and other engineering studies.
• Share knowledge between the corporate center, terminals, clusters, and the Growth Engineering community.
• Execute minor capital projects, including revenue-generating and sustaining projects.
• Investigate operating deficiencies and inefficiencies and provide recommendations for modifications to improve equipment reliability and production efficiency.
• Provide regular progress and budget overview reporting to management.
• Support maintenance activities by reviewing existing assets, designs, and architectures and proposing improvements.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical, Instrumentation, or Automation Engineering.
• 5 to 8 years of experience in the design and construction of LNG, ammonia, LPG, or chemical storage terminals.
• Knowledge of relevant U.S. codes and standards.
• Strong background in Electrical, Instrumentation, and Automation within oil, chemical, or gas storage and distribution.
• Experience in storage and handling of refrigerated and cryogenic fluids such as chemicals, hydrocarbons, butane, propane, propylene, LNG, and ammonia.
• Understanding of terminal business processes, including operations and HSSE needs.
• Ability to lead engineering solutions that are fit for purpose, considering commercial implications.
• Experience working in an international, multicultural environment.
• Valid driver’s license and the ability to obtain a Transportation Worker’s Identification Card (TWIC).
