Responsibilities:

• Execute foundational accounting tasks in accordance with standard procedures, including general accounting duties.
• Review delinquent accounts daily and initiate collection actions by contacting customers.
• Confirm and code documents accurately.
• Contact clients to resolve payment issues and assist in setting up payment plans.
• Process payments and compile segments of monthly closings and annual reports in compliance with GAAP.
• Reconcile bank accounts, posting and balancing financial data in various ledgers.
• Process Monthly Joint Interest Billing (JIB) close.
• Create monthly journal entries in Excalibur and SAP.
• Mail JIB invoices monthly for partners not on Energy Link.
• Perform monthly account analysis.
• Resolve billing disputes promptly.
• Assist in setting up cash advances paid by partners.
• Participate in ad hoc projects as requested by the JIB Manager/Supervisor.
• Adopt a continuous improvement approach to enhance processes and identify efficiencies.
• Uphold the company's values of integrity, ownership, urgency, alignment, and innovation.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 1 years of experience in a relevant field (customer service, sales, customer accounting, claims, and/or revenue recovery).
• High school diploma or equivalent required; a degree in accounting or a related field is preferred.
• Proficiency in general accounting practices and principles.
• Experience with SAP and Excalibur is a plus.
• Strong understanding of GAAP.
• Ability to manage and resolve billing disputes effectively.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
