About the role

Primavera Foundation is seeking a dynamic and experienced Philanthropy Services Coordinator to manage in-kind donations and organize volunteer efforts. This role focuses on coordinating the collection and distribution of non-monetary contributions. Leveraging strategic fundraising approaches and mobilizing volunteer engagement, the Philanthropy Services Coordinator drives community involvement, ensuring the continued success of Primavera's mission and programs.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
(Work assignments may vary depending on the department’s needs):
    • Develop and coordinate all aspects of Primavera’s volunteer program including recruitment, screening, placement, training, retention and recognition. This includes and is not limited to weekly program volunteers, community service volunteers, group project volunteers and monthly meal teams. Oversee volunteer database, including collection, data entry, and maintenance of pertinent information.
    • Oversee the solicitation and management of in-kind donations, including food, clothing, supplies, and other non-monetary contributions
    • Work directly with programs to assess departmental volunteer needs on a regular basis.
    • In cooperation with the Philanthropy Officer and others, assist with fundraising to support Primavera Foundation’s mission and programs.
    • Maintain the donor database and ensure accurate and timely recording of donor interactions, contributions, and acknowledgments.
    • Adherence to and demonstration of Primavera’s guiding principles of integrity, respect, accountability, compassion, and leadership.
    • Other duties as assigned.

    • Computer skills; proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office programs, including Outlook, Word, Excel. Proficiency in donor database software Virtuous and ETO.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Two years of professional work experience in a similar or related position
  • Two years of experience maintaining organizational records in database programs
  • Proven ability to passionately foster and maintain a positive culture of service to others
  • Demonstrated professional history of excellence in the following areas: problem-solving, time management and organizational skills, record-keeping. public speaking, interpersonal communication (both verbal and written), and cross-functional collaboration
  • History of recruiting, training, and motivating others to deliver excellence in service outcomes
  • Proven ability to successfully meet time-sensitive deadlines and manage multiple projects

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Two or more years of experience directly overseeing volunteer program(s)
  • Prior work experience in a non-profit organization or campaign
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
  • Successful experience participating in fundraising Initiatives, special events coordination, and donor cultivation/relationships

PHYSICAL ENVIRONMENT/CONDITIONS

  • Ability to work in a busy office environment with moderate noise levels, seated with intermittent standing, walking, bending, and stooping
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds
