Prime Team Partners, Inc is Hiring an Information Technology Help Desk Technician Near Seattle, WA

IT Helpdesk Technician: 6 month contract role, Tier 2 support

Hourly pay: $35-45/hr, DOE

Onsite in Seattle (SOLU) and Beacon Hill

*role not eligible for 3rd party or visa sponsorship at this time.

Our client is seeking an IT HelpDesk Technician to provide technical support and assistance to end-users within the organization. This role involves troubleshooting hardware and software issues, resolving technical problems, and ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical knowledge, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • User Support:
  • Respond to IT support requests via phone, email, or in-person in a timely and professional manner.
  • Diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues on desktops, laptops, printers, mobile devices, and other IT equipment.
  • Assist with network connectivity issues, including Wi-Fi, VPN, and LAN/WAN configurations.
  • Provide support for remote users, ensuring they have secure access to necessary resources.
  • Endpoint Provisioning: Install, configure, and maintain operating systems, software applications, and security updates.
  • Account Management: Manage user accounts, permissions, and access rights in various systems, including Active Directory and other enterprise applications.
  • Documentation: Develop and maintain documentation to support activities, resolutions, and maintain an updated knowledge base.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with other IT team members on projects and initiatives to improve overall IT infrastructure and services.
  • Asset Management: Assist with IT asset management, including inventory tracking and equipment lifecycle management.
  • User Knowledge and Training: Conduct user training sessions to enhance user proficiency with IT systems and applications.
  • User Advocacy: Act as the advocate for the user and their experience when working with other IT teams.
  • User Consultant: Provide alternative solutions based on user requests and requirements.

Qualifications:

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field preferred.
  • Proven experience in an IT support or helpdesk role.
  • Strong knowledge of Windows and Mac operating systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and common software applications.
  • Familiarity with network protocols, IP addressing, and basic network troubleshooting.
  • Experience with Active Directory, Office 365, and remote support tools.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA A , Network , Microsoft Certified Professional) are a plus.
