SummaryThe Senior Director of Stationary Equipment Maintenance is responsible for overseeing the maintenance, repair, and operation of all stationary equipment (baggage handling conveyor system and passenger boarding bridges) across two airport sites. The role involves strategic planning, team management, and coordination with other airport departments and customers to maintain a safe and efficient operational environment.
Key Responsibilities

- Develop and implement maintenance schedules for all stationary equipment at both airport sites.
- Coordinate and oversee routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and safety standards across both locations.
- Supervise and lead a team of maintenance technicians and staff across both sites.
- Provide training and development opportunities for team members.
- Conduct performance evaluations and manage staffing needs at both locations.
- Monitor equipment performance and implement improvements to enhance efficiency at both airports.
- Manage the procurement of parts, tools, and supplies needed for maintenance activities.
- Develop and manage the maintenance budget for both sites.
- Safety and Compliance:
- Ensure all maintenance activities are performed safely and in compliance with OSHA and other regulatory requirements.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and equipment performance.
- Conduct regular safety audits and risk assessments at both locations.
- Develop and implement emergency response plans for equipment failures and other emergencies.
- Coordinate with airport operations to minimize disruptions during maintenance or emergencies at both sites.
- Plan and oversee capital improvement projects related to stationary equipment.
- Coordinate with contractors and vendors for major repairs and installations.
- Ensure projects are completed on time and within budget at both locations.
- Foster strong communication and collaboration between the maintenance teams at both sites.
- Standardize maintenance practices and protocols across both airports to ensure consistency.
- Bachelor’s degree Preferred
- Minimum of 10-12 years of experience in maintenance management, preferably in an airport or similar environment, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of HMIs, PLCs, HVAC systems, generators, and other stationary equipment.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and compliance standards.
- Experience with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
- Experience managing multiple sites.
- Ability to work in various environmental conditions, including exposure to noise, dust, and extreme temperatures.
- Must be available for on-call emergencies and work flexible hours as needed.
- Frequent travel between the two airport sites.
