What It’s Like To Work As An Trainer
- You like working as a team, toward a common goal
- Develop and implement comprehensive on-the-job training programs for new hires and existing employees in alignment with company policies and procedures
- Conduct training needs assessments to identify skill gaps and training requirements among airport personnel
- Create training materials, manuals, and modules that are engaging, informative, and tailored to various job roles within the airport service company
- Deliver effective training sessions in both classroom and hands-on settings, ensuring that employees acquire the necessary skills and knowledge
- Provide one-on-one coaching and mentoring to trainees, offering guidance and support throughout their training period
- You have a great attention to detail
- You enjoy working with a team or individually to accomplish your tasks
- Strong customer service skills
- Like to build long term relationships with your customers
- Physical activity may include:
- Stand and walk for extended periods of time
- Ability to lift 70 pounds or more
- Be able to hear and respond to the spoken voice and to audible alarms generated by terminal environment
- Close vision (clear vision at 20 inches or less); Distance Vision (clear vision at 20 feet or more); Color Vision (ability to identify and distinguish colors); Peripheral Vision (ability to observe an area that can be seen up and down or to the left and right while eyes are fixed on a given point); Depth Perception (three-dimensional vision, ability to judge distances and spatial relationships); Ability to Adjust Focus (ability to adjust the eye to bring an object into sharp focus)
- Minimum age of 18 years old
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language, to include documents
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in training and development
- Knowledge of adult learning principles and training methodologies
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Experience in the aviation industry or airport operations
- Proficiency in creating and using training aids and materials
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
- Comfortable working with computers, mobile devices, and tablets
- Eligibility to acquire needed credentials and clearances (FAA, TSA, Port Authority, U.S. Customs and U.S. Postal- as applicable)
