Primos Social Media Marketing Internship
Are you an expert social media user who wants to use your creativity for a good cause? We have an opportunity for you! Primos is looking for a Social Media Marketing Intern to help grow our organization.
Primos is a non-profit dedicated to empowering students and their families through mentoring and exposure opportunities. We provide one-on-one mentoring, student enrichment programs, and parent workshops within the Dallas area to a primarily Latino community.
We are seeking a highly motivated individual to champion our brand and expand our online presence as a premiere mentoring organization.
You will have creative freedom to tell the Primos story and help us grow our audience. You will work with Primos staff to craft strategies, create content, and evaluate what works (and what doesn’t). This is a great opportunity for someone who wants to learn the behind-the-scenes knowledge of social media.
Requirements:
- Expert user of social media platforms (IG, FB, TikTok)
- Knowledge of current social media trends and influencers
- Comfortable being in front and behind the camera
- Outgoing personality that enjoys meeting new people and featuring them in content
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office & design apps like Canva
- Detail-oriented and creative
- High school graduate (or GED)
Responsibilities include:
- Brainstorming new ideas
- Creating and managing social media calendar
- Attending Primos events and capturing content
- Creating social media posts, flyers, and other marketing materials
- Community management (responding to DMs and managing comments)
- Tracking success of your work and reporting metrics
- Being the voice of Primos online
Additional details:
- Time commitment: 4-5 hours/week and attendance of Primos monthly events
- Timing: July ‘24 – May ‘25
- Pay: $175/every two weeks
- This is an independent contractor role. You will provide your own computer equipment and transportation.
- Bilingual (Spanish) a plus but not required.
- The majority of Primos events take place in Southeast Dallas (Pleasant Grove area).
