Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Responsible for maintaining and updating quotes and new part project tracker logs.
- Assists with securing and analyzing quotations; negotiates prices and terms
- Prepares and issues purchase orders, changes notices and communication with suppliers
- Reviews inventory level to determine if material on hand is in sufficient quantity
- Weekly reviews Vendor Open Order Report to expedite late product not received
- Verifies supplier invoices to purchase orders and approves bills for payment
- Maintains adequate supply of office materials and orders items when necessary
- Performs data entry into Prince ERP system as required
- Communicates effectively with team members at all levels of organization
- Completes assigned tasks and responsibilities in a timely and efficient manner
- Additional responsibilities as assigned by General Manager
- Excellent attention to detail & organization skills
- Ability to generate reports and business correspondences as needed.
- Ability to communicate effectively with vendors, and all levels of the company
- Excellent multitasking skills & ability to manage multiple projects
- Computer literate (MS Office 365, Adobe, email)
- Experience with MRP software, Epicor preferred
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions.
- Independent & willing to take initiative
- Strong work ethic & highly motivated
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- 2 years of relevant experience
- 2 years of experience working in a manufacturing setting
- Prior experience using ERP systems, Epicor preferred
- Regularly required to sit, stand or walk the duration of shift, 8-10 hours.
- Frequently required to talk or hear
- Occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch, reach or bend
- Regularly lift, push or pull up to 20 pounds and occasionally up to 40 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision in which 20/20 vision or corrected vision to 20/20 vision is required
- Occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts
- Occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles resulting from metalworking coolants and oils
- The noise level in the work environment is sometimes loud when working in the plant, in which hearing protection is required
