Our client is a late-stage SaaS startup and hiring an Accounting Clerk for a long-term part-time contract. You will process sales orders, set up invoicing per contract terms, and process all monthly invoices. You will reconcile outstanding A/R, maintain accurate aging of receivables, prepare monthly reconciliations for the relevant A/R and A/P accounts, and assist with month-end close. Must have experience with NetSuite and Salesforce preferred. 5 days per week and onsite in Boston, MA. This position will report to the Controller.

Responsibilities

• Check the PO box and process mail
• Scan and deposit checks
• Process sales orders, set up invoicing per contract terms, and process all monthly invoices
• Posting and correctly applying customer payments, following up for clarification, as needed.
• Reconciling outstanding A/R and maintaining an accurate aging of receivables.
• Research and resolve any discrepancies between invoices and customer payments.
• Process invoices received, ensuring accuracy and matching to outstanding purchase orders, and managing payments.
• Set up correct vendor records, apply credits properly, and maintain an accurate balance of payables.
• Preparing monthly reconciliations for the relevant A/R and A/P accounts, assisting in month-end close.
• Required experience:
• Minimum 3 years relevant experience
• Ability to prioritize work and successfully manage a variety of tasks throughout the day.
• Bachelor degree in accounting preferred but not required.

Preferred experience:

• Experience with Netsuite required and Salesforce preferred
• Exposure to bill.com, Corpay, and other payment processing platforms
• Experience working in a multinational environment
