Chef Abram Bissell’s new SoHo restaurant, Principe, is seeking a motivated an experienced and hospitality driven Assistant General Manager to join our team. Principe is a seafood restaurant, with Italian influence. 

Our ideal candidate is a team player with a willingness to learn and go beyond the confines of the role to invest in the whole guest and team experience—a true love of hospitality and exceeding guest expectations is a must!

• Has a passion for people, food, and hospitality and has the skills to build strong and long-lasting relationships with staff and guests alike
• Comfortable implementing and maintaining systems and standards to ensure the highest level of service and maximize profitability 
• Possesses excellent communication skills, is comfortable “digging in” to any situation, and managing a diverse group of people and personalities
• Proactive and creative problem-solver who is responsive and thrives in a fast-paced environment
• Must be able to lift 50 Pounds and work while standing for long periods. 
• Ability to climb and descend stairs often while working is a must. 

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

• Build and maintain guest relationships, curate VIP experiences, and manage ongoing correspondence through email and review platforms
• Train, coach, and develop a team of high performing staff by exemplifying our Core Values
• Manage facilities maintenance, following checklists and communicating issues in real time, following proper protocols
• Maintain an A letter grade from the DOH and confirm the all FOH and BOH management conduct DOH walk-throughs to ensure DOH compliance
• Drive salesmanship in service, working to maximize top line sales for every meal period
• Facilitate on-going training and development of current staff and management to ensure that all team members are educated on Principe’s products and services 
• Build morale and team loyalty by fostering a work environment where team members’ input is valued and encouraged

Compensation Details

Compensation Range: Salary $80k – $85K
