Location: Spring Hill, TNJob OverviewThe Lead Production Sanitation Clerk oversees all necessary sanitation duties to common production and warehouse areas, as well as assuring that laundry, GMP area, and Powder Fill cleaning requirements are met.
Main Duties & Responsibilities
Location: Spring Hill, TNJob OverviewThe Lead Production Sanitation Clerk oversees all necessary sanitation duties to common production and warehouse areas, as well as assuring that laundry, GMP area, and Powder Fill cleaning requirements are met.
Main Duties & Responsibilities
- Assist with training all new employees in sanitation processes, procedures, and responsibilities;
- Provide direction and encouragement to staff;
- Assign daily tasks and monitor staff performance;
- Conduct in-depth problem solving of sanitation tasks;
- Clean floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming;
- Gather and empty trash;
- Dust air vents and base boards in non-production areas;
- Clean windows, glass partitions, mirrors, and break room appliances;
- Assure that cleaning solutions used are prepared properly prior to use;
- Steam-clean or shampoo carpets;
- Strip, seal, finish, and polish floors;
- Run floor scrubber as needed;
- Service, clean, and supply restrooms;
- Clean and sanitize the AMS room, Check Weigh room, and Packaging area;
- Requisition supplies and equipment needed for cleaning and maintenance duties;
- Adhere to and enforce current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP), SOPs, equipment, and safety practices;
- Comply with and ensure staff complies with all company policies and procedures, including safety rules and regulations;
- Perform other duties as deemed necessary.
- High School or GED required;
- 1 year in a janitorial role preferred;
- Ability to work efficiently and independently;
- Ability to operate a scissor-lift when necessary;
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.;
- Ability to stand for an extended periods of time;
- Must be able to wear any required PPE such as scrubs, hair net, lab coat, and facemask;
- Ability to work in a packaging area with a moderate powder substance in the air with or without a respirator;
- Other physical requirements include frequent squatting, bending, twisting, and bi-lateral wrist movement;
- Ability to work above the shoulders;
- Ability to work around a variety of different smells and aromas;
- Ability to adjust work schedule as business needs require.
