Location: Spring Hill, TNJob OverviewThe Specialty Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing line change overs, cleans, packaging line trials, corrective, predictive and preventive maintenance repairs to equipment in the specialty department according to manufacturer equipment service manuals, factory guidelines, and management’s instructions; in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's) in the maintenance department and within GMP and ‘food grade work’ guidelines.
Main Duties & Responsibilities
Location: Spring Hill, TNJob OverviewThe Specialty Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing line change overs, cleans, packaging line trials, corrective, predictive and preventive maintenance repairs to equipment in the specialty department according to manufacturer equipment service manuals, factory guidelines, and management’s instructions; in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's) in the maintenance department and within GMP and ‘food grade work’ guidelines.
Main Duties & Responsibilities
- Comply with and promote all Company policies and procedures, including safety rules and regulations and the wearing of all required PPE;
- Promptly address mechanical breakdown issues, production line adjustment issues, equipment swap-out requirements (lot coders, identify and assist in resolution of any safety issues.
- Facilitate and maintain 5-S implementation and ongoing requirements;
- Assist in projects for facility improvement, capability expansion and efficiency improvement;
- Follow and enforce cGMP guidelines and processes as established in company and department SOPs;
- Perform other duties as deemed necessary.
- High School Diploma or GED, vocational or college education preferred;
- Two years’ experience in a maintenance environment; electrical, machine or multi-craft maintenance technical certificate may be considered for substitute of experience;
- Good interpersonal and communication skills;
- Attention to detail in the maintenance area;
- Ability to complete tasks under limited supervision;
- Strong written communication skills with an emphasis on technical documents and records;
- Strong mechanical and/or electrical aptitude;
- Ability to stand for extended hours;
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.;
- Ability to wear any required PPE;
- Other physical requirements include bi-lateral hand and wrist movement and occasional squatting, bending, and twisting;
- Ability to work around a variation of different smells and aromas;
- Ability to adjust work schedule as business needs require.
