Accountabilities
- Assists physicians with examinations, procedures and other activities related to direct patient care. Fields and directs clinical telephone calls. - 15%
- Participates in the assessment of clinical staffing needs by maintaining a master work schedule, adjusting staffing levels and forecasting staffing needs. - 15%
- Develops and conducts orientation and in service training for clinical staff. - 10%
- Develops, implements and maintains emergency preparedness plan. - 10%
- Serves as chief liaison between the clinical staff and physicians. - 5%
- Assists with development and maintenance of quality improvement by reviewing incident reports, patient complaints and suggestions, current practices and actions taken. Develops and conducts programs for enhancing patient satisfaction. - 15%
- Monitors local, state and federal regulations affecting operations and assists with the development, implementation and monitoring of appropriate policies and procedures. - 10%
- Contacts vendors for repair or routine service of medical equipment. Forwards proposals/quotes to Office Supervisor for approval. - 5%
- Maintains adequate levels of medical supplies and pharmaceuticals. - 5%
- Responsible for adherence to DEA, DHEC and other regulatory agency policies and procedures for ordering, dispensing, storing and disposing of pharmaceuticals. - 5%
- Oversees physician's office schedule. - 5%
- This is a non-management job that will report to a supervisor, manager, director or executive.
- Post High School Education Up To 18 Months - Nursing or other Clinical Field.
- 3 years in clinical field of certification .
- Certification in one or more of the following: South Carolina LPN license
- OR- Radio-logic Technologist (ARRT),
- OR- Limited Practice Radiologic Technologist
- OR- General, Medical Laboratory Technician,
- OR- Certified Surgical Technician
- OR- Registered Respiratory Technician
- OR- Certified Medical Assistant from the American Assoc of Medical Assistants or from the American Medical Technologists
