Pristine Smiles is looking for a part time or full time registered dental assistant ( RDA ) for our brand new state of the art startup dental practice. We are located in Cherry Hill, NJ. We are focused on high quality, patient centered dental care. We offer top notch patient comfort features including heated and massaging dental chairs, ceiling mounted TVs, noise canceling headphones and heated towels. We are looking for a dental assistant who is personable, quality oriented and meticulous with his/her work with a focus on the patient experience. As a startup dental office we would expect our dental assistant in helping us market the practice to the local community which would include being involved in local community events, fairs and school events. We offer two late evenings and are open on Saturdays. We would like our dental assistant to be an integral part of our team and value their contributions to our practice. Responsibilities

• Welcome patients in the dental office
• Prepare patients for treatments or checkups ensuring their comfort
• Setup operatories with necessary instruments, equipment and material for the specific procedure
• Take xrays as needed
• Sterilize instruments according to regulations
• Assist the dentist through 4-handed dentistry
• Make temp crowns/bridges and retract gingival issues in preparation for impression
• Take impressions for dentures, night guards and other procedures
• Clean up and setup of operatories
• Undertake lab tasks as instructed
• Provide oral hygiene and post-operative care instructions
• Keep the dental operatories clean and well-stocked
• Schedule appointments when needed
• Maintain accurate patient records
• Cross trained for front desk duties is a plus but not necessary
• Participate in marketing efforts of the dental practice

Skills

• Registered as dental assistant in the state of New Jersey ( RDA, xray certified )
• Proven experience as dental assistant
• Knowledge of dental instruments and sterilization methods
• Understanding of health & safety regulations
• Good computer skills ( foundational knowledge of patient management and dental xray software )
• Excellent communication and people skills
• Attention to detail
• Well-organized and reliable

• Wednesday: 9 am to 7 pm
• Friday: 9 am to 2 pm
• Saturday: 9 am to 1 pm

Education:

• High school or equivalent
• Graduation from dental assisting school

Experience:

• Dental assisting: 1 year (Preferred)

License/Certification:

• X-Ray Certification (Preferred)
• Registered Dental Assistant (Preferred)
