Private Home & Personal Care is Hiring an In Home Caregiver Near Tucson, AZ
Overview:
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated individuals to provide care to a kind and wonderful 55 year old man recovering from a stroke. He is learning how to speak, walk, and all daily life self care routines. Currently in wheel chair. Left side of body is still limited mobility. He can move his right side but is working on strengthening. Has a peg tube at this time for all feedings and medication. You will provide essential support and assistance to his needs, assisting him to regain his independence and enhance his quality of life. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a positive impact on the life of wonderful young man.
Responsibilities
- Assist client with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
- Provide medication and assist with medication management
- Provide PEG feeding for all meals
- Perform light housekeeping tasks, such as laundry, vacuuming, and tidying up
- Accompany client to appointments or outings as needed
- Engage in meaningful conversation and provide emotional support
- Monitor and report any changes in client's condition or behavior
- Maintain accurate documentation of care provided
Qualifications:
- Ability to lift and transfer 200lb safely. - (From bed to wheelchair| Wheel chair to toilet/shower chair/to bed)
- Previous experience as a caregiver or in a related field is preferred.
- Compassionate and patient demeanor
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently
- Reliable transportation to travel to client's homes
- Driver's License
- Certification as Caregiver or CNA
