Part-time live-in caregiver

Live-in caregiver needed every other weekend from 5pm on Friday until 5pm on Sunday, for 90-year-old woman in Grifton, North Carolina, who remains physically agile and resides in her own home. Client has significant short-term memory loss, mild dementia, and needs assistance with personal hygiene. Other duties may include some help with daily living activities; grocery shopping and other outings, including for fun and companionship; light meal preparation and clean-up. Caregiver should be compassionate, able to provide emotional support, and safety-conscious on behalf of client. Other applicant qualities include being patient, understanding, and empathetic towards the challenges faced by the elderly; punctual, trustworthy, and efficient; and able to communicate clearly with family members.

The caregiver who fills this position may also do PRN, as available, when the full-time caregiver is off on days other than the alternate weekends.

Requirements

o Be a US Citizen or have appropriate documentation to work in the US.

o Have a valid US Driver’s License and safe driving record.

o Pass a background investigation.

o Be able to physically help an elderly person in distress including lifting, bending, stretching.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $15.96 - $19.23 per hour

Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week

Schedule:

• Overnight shift
• Rotating weekends
