Private Household Located in West Los Angeles is Hiring a PART-TIME ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT AND OFFICE MANAGER – START UP ENVIRONMENT Near Santa Monica, CA

PART-TIME ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT AND OFFICE MANAGER – START UP ENVIRONMENT

Seeking a responsible and experienced administrative assistant and office manager to work in a small office located in Santa Monica/Brentwood Area. This is a role in a start-up environment for a local spirits and alcohol company.

The role is part-time 25 hours a week with the potential to grow into a full-time role.

Responsibilities Include:

Assisting with email from salespersons and managers

Assisting managers to keep track of and respond to requests for information

Keeping track of merchandise and liquor inventory and updating spreadsheet (potentially using O’hanafy and/or excel)

Data entry and updating sales, contacts and inventory database in O’hanafy (training provided)

Creating invitation lists and managing RSVPs

Assisting with calendar items and scheduling of meetings and events

Taking notes at company meetings and assisting with follow-up

Running local errands

Assisting in the preparation of local events and tastings

Keeping office organized and tidy

Other tasks as assigned

This is a new role that will work closely with two upper-level managers and a small group of salespersons. Must be comfortable being in an office alone as the management team and salespersons work off-site several days a week.

Skills and Experience Required:

Must have three years experience in an administrative or clerical role

Must be fluent in Microsoft Word Suite (Word and Excel)

Must have strong organizational skills

Must have the ability to work independently and take organizational initiative

Must work well under periodic pressure and deadlines

Must be flexible and have the ability to multi-task

Must have a car and valid drivers license

Work Hours and Details:

Monday through Friday 11am – 4pm

Starting hourly rate $20.00 - $23.00

Independent contractor paid bi-weekly

Gas, mileage and expense reimbursement

Free on-site parking

Start date is immediate

Opportunity to attend events and learn more about the liquor industry

Must have references and pass background check
