Pro Resources Staffing Services is Hiring a Maintenance Technician 2nd 3rd Shift Near Bluffton, IN

Job Description

Job Description
Pro Resources is currently seeking dedicated and skilled Maintenance Technicians for 2nd and 3rd shift positions at our client’s facility in Bluffton, IN. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work with a dynamic team, and training will be provided on the day shift. Some overtime is required. Entry-level candidates with a strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn are encouraged to apply.
Shift Hours:
  • 1st Shift (Training): 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM
  • 2nd Shift: 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM
  • 3rd Shift: 11:00 PM - 7:00 AM
Status: Direct-Hire
Pay: $18-20 /hr
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Prioritize workload and assignments for maintenance staff from work orders or project lists provided by the Maintenance Supervisor, Plant Manager, or Corporate Staff.
  • Follow up on work assignments to ensure accuracy and timeliness, providing assistance as needed.
  • Approve hours worked in the PR system for maintenance staff and ensure proper paperwork and forms are supplied to HR to document all absences.
  • Take full responsibility for the maintenance staff and shop in the absence of the Maintenance Supervisor.
  • Move, assemble, set up, modify, and test a variety of industrial production equipment, including building bases, running electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, or steam lines to the equipment, or modifying equipment to fit production, safety, or engineering requirements.
  • Replace or repair broken, worn out, or obsolete parts or equipment. If necessary, fabricate parts from copies or prints, salvage parts from other equipment, or take new parts from stock.
  • Regularly inspect or service equipment for planned maintenance, inform supervisor of unusual conditions or the need for extensive repairs, estimate machine downtime, and specify parts to be ordered.
  • Use meters or other diagnostic devices to discern root problems for equipment malfunctions.
  • Operate forklift trucks, floor jacks, block and tackle, chain falls, jacks, or other equipment to perform work.
  • Modify new or existing equipment to achieve better maintenance, production, safety, or quality.
  • Keep tools and equipment clean and in workable condition.
  • Ensure the quality of work performed.
  • Comply with health and safety practices, policies, and regulations.
  • Report to the Maintenance Supervisor.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Skills and Qualifications:
  • Extensive maintenance knowledge of industrial equipment is preferred.
  • Entry-level candidates with a strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn are welcome.
  • Ownership of a set of basic maintenance tools for both American and metric standards is beneficial.
  • Considerable physical effort and agility required to climb, pull, push, lift, and use large tools, and to perform overall maintenance work.
  • Regular exposure to various oils, grease, heat, dirt, compounds, fumes, and environmental conditions.
  • Ability to climb stairs and ladders, and lift and carry up to 50 pounds on occasion.
