- Provide leadership and guidance to the Accounts Payable team with a passion for their development and implementation
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in invoice processing
- Optimize use of technology and automation
- Resolve any discrepancies or issues related to invoice processing
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate financial reporting
- Maintain positive relationships with vendors and suppliers
- Oversee the use of accounts payable software and systems utilized to streamline processes (Intact-Sage)
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounts payable or a similar accounting role
- Proven experience in a leadership or management position
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices
- Proficiency with accounts payable software and Microsoft Office Suite
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with other departments and stakeholders
