PURPOSE:
The setup of facilities, policies, systems, use of WMS and functionality of handling and storing goods within an RF and / or non-RF environment. These sites are an extension of leading manufacturers, retailers and B2B / B2C businesses, and provide JIT material.

MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES:

• Oversite of the warehouses, in the capacity of safety, operationally, financially and improvement.
• Provide leadership, coach and develop a team.
• Hold teams accountable for the planning, employee engagement and management of inbound/outbound operations, quality, inventory control, safety, quality, compliance, transportation, maintenance, and facilities (inside and outside the 4-walls).
• Reviews measurement results to determine root causes for any process defects; provides direction in creating countermeasures (results).
• Analyzes the effectiveness of process changes while continually strives to close gaps between actual vs. expected results.
• Understands the key performance metrics (KPIs) and monitors all DC operational process to ensure the DC meets/exceeds on all KPIs and organizational goals.
• Promote a productive work environment with high employee engagement levels.
• Create and execute strategies to control operating costs.
• In conjunction with the regional Leaders, build customer relationships, interpret customer needs and assess their business requirements.
• Assist in the development of functional strategies and continuous improvement / Lean Six Sigma initiatives.
• Interact with internal and external leaders, including senior leadership team.
• Ensure collaboration with other functional areas, establishing effective working relationships with business partners and persuade others into agreement with sensitive situations while maintaining positive relationships across the organization.
• Partner with Environmental Health and Safety team to ensure high standards are in place for a safe working environment for all employees.
• Ensure all regulatory procedures are properly administered and within appropriate tolerances.
• Evaluate current procedures and practices for accomplishing regional objectives.
• Participate in and lead cross-functional special projects.
• Provides strategic direction and necessary systems/tools to Distribution Centres for obtainment of Zero Lost Time Accidents
• Works with Department Leads in IT, Quality, HR, Sr Ops, and Finance to design and implement policies, procedures, and systems to provide world class services, and zero loss of profit, while maintaining high service standards at all locations
• Works with the Executive Team to develop KPI linked to contract requirements and costs associated with conducting work.
• Works with Executive Team to Develop yearly operational budget. Targeting reduction in cost initiatives.
• Works with the Executive Team and local and operations to ensure flawless launches
• Ensure high customer service and quality control standards are maintained
• Provide leadership to ensure a positive, productive team-based atmosphere
• Participate in developing strategies, goals, and objectives for all divisions
• Oversee and direct processes and make improvements to existing operations to ensure efficiency with the flow of goods and services and meet yearly cost reduction targets
• Plan, staff, and supervise through subordinate managers to ensure a cohesive operational unit
• Provide direction to management to ensure the effective day-to-day management of Operations
• Oversee all facility design, improvements, and contracts
• Ensure that all regulatory and compliance measures are always adhered to.
• Ensure all BRC and or Food Grade policies are followed, and documentation is completed.
• Oversite of a facility
• Understanding on how to budget and develop a PL statement per site principles as it pertains to Distribution/Sequencing
• Ability to travel up to 25% per month – longer as necessary to support new business activities
• Ability to work a flexible work schedule
• Solid understanding of Employment and Safety
• No criminal record for which a pardon has not been granted

QUALIFICATIONS EXPERIENCE

Education: Bachelor’s degree in science, Engineering, Management, or related field is preferred. Master's degree in any of the above disciplines is desirable.

Valid driver’s license required; Valid passport is Required.

Project Management or Continuous improvement certification is an asset

Lean six sigma or Operational excellence experience is an advantage.

Experience: ·

• 8 years of supply chain experience including at least 3 years at a managerial level.
• Experience in GMP requirements and guidelines (mainly Health Canada, FDA, and BRC) is a must have.

LANGUAGE: English

COMPUTER: Microsoft Office Software, WMS, knowledge of RF scanners

Pay: $70,000.00 - $76,000.00 per year
