What you will do

In this role, you will have the unique opportunity to shape and own the delivery of programs that harness world class technology to change patient lives. Your mission will be to oversee the setup and execution of patient identification programs that meet and exceed the expectations of our biopharma customers. You will source and manage vendor relationships, own all program operations, and produce impactful analysis for our customers. This will involve partnering across the entire company to drive program outcomes within growth, product, and engineering. This is a pivotal, cross-functional role that directly contributes to our overall mission of diagnosing 200 million patients living with rare, genetic and complex diseases.

You will manage the delivery of our patient identification programs so we hit all targets and miss no deadlines. This will involve:

  • Scoping and defining all program timelines, technical requirements, operational goals, and customer deliverables based on customer contracts.
  • Managing detailed project plans, timelines, and budgets for all programs
  • Owning execution and KPI monitoring for all programs
  • Collaborating with internal teams such as engineering, growth, patient support and customer success to ensure we hit all program targets on time
  • Facilitating communication and cooperation among team members to ensure program milestones are achieved
  • Driving the standardization and automation of program processes as appropriate
  • Ensuring that all programs adhere to regulatory and ethical standards.

You will source, contract and manage our network of patient testing vendors. This will involve:

  • Scoping all genetic and biochemical testing vendors required for successful delivery of our patient identification programs.
  • Sourcing the best available vendors, facilitating and maintaining vendor relationships, negotiating contracts and creating vendor quality control measures
  • Implementing and monitoring robust tracking and alerting processes for all program vendor KPIs
  • Monitoring and assessing data quality and internal KPIs to ensure vendor performance meets contracted requirements

You will produce impactful, beautifully presented analyses of program results for our biopharma customers. This will involve:

  • Understanding customer needs and ensuring program metrics and outputs align with their goals
  • Sourcing and analyzing program result data to deliver detailed, impactful analysis and content for customer updates, presentations, and program reports

Who you are

What will help you succeed in this role:

  • Strong experience in program management within the healthcare, biotech, or pharmaceutical industries, with a track record of efficiency and success
  • Deep understanding of genetic and biochemical testing fundamentals and applications, and an ability to examine the sequencing process and critical factors influencing data quality
  • Prior experience scoping, contracting and managing relationships and agreements with vendors in the clinical testing industry
  • Proficiency in project management software and CRM tools (Asana, Hubspot preferred)
  • Ability to manage multiple programs simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proven ability to source, analyze and present scientific and operational data
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.

Some things that are not required, but you will learn on the job:

  • Experience working with biopharma customers or in rare genetic disease patient identification.
  • Familiarity with healthcare data analytics and precision medicine.
  • Knowledge of and experience in life sciences or healthcare industry
  • Steering multi-million dollar budgets for complex machine learning and genetics programs

As with all new hires at Probably Genetic, you will also need to be:

  • A good person. We work with some of the most marginalized populations on the planet and empathy is key
  • Patient-focused and motivated to have a lasting, positive impact on humanity
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced, often ambiguous environment with rapid change
  • Action-oriented and excited to build a company from the ground up

The salary range for this role is $73,000-$121,000 annually. Actual compensation offered will depend on several factors including but not limited to: work experience, education, skill level, and/or other business and organizational needs.
