What You’ll DoAs a Continuous Improvement and Engineering Manager at ProCaps Laboratories, you'll have a multifaceted role in optimizing our manufacturing and engineering operations, all while upholding the highest standards of quality, safety, and compliance. You'll be responsible for driving continuous improvement initiatives, fostering a culture of Lean and Quality, and ensuring that our operations align with Safe Quality Foods (SQF) and Workplace Safety Programs. Other Essential Job Duties And Responsibilities
Knowledge of, understanding of, and compliance with all QODs associated with your job description
Actively participate in Lean, Quality, Product Safety, SQF, and Workplace Safety Programs.
Utilize CI/Lean tools, processes, and systems to drive efficiency and quality
Analyze and communicate departmental key metrics related to continuous improvements and Environmental, Health, and Safety performance
Drive Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) using Lean Principles to analyze systems and create action plans for improvement
Develop and implement a site transformation plan in collaboration with the site management team, ensuring it aligns with business objectives
Provide training, preparation, communication, and post-event follow-up for Lean initiatives
Apply financial drivers and KPIs to guide decision-making and process improvement
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify process improvement opportunities
Analyze manufacturing processes and engineering workflows to streamline operations and reduce waste
Lead Lean and Six Sigma initiatives to optimize productivity and quality
Develop and implement continuous improvement strategies and best practices for both manufacturing and engineering
Train and mentor team members on process improvement methodologies
Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) to track progress
Drive a culture of continuous improvement throughout the organization
Work closely with the engineering team to align process improvements with engineering needs
What You Bring
Bachelor's degree in engineering, operations management, or related field preferred
Five or more years of experience in plant leadership, with at least 2 years in a position responsible for driving Lean manufacturing initiatives in complex manufacturing facilities
Proven experience in continuous improvement within a manufacturing environment
Strong knowledge of Lean and Six Sigma principles
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
Effective communication and leadership abilities
Results-oriented with a track record of driving process improvements
