Position Overview:
As a Speech-Language Pathologist in our school, you will play a crucial role in providing diagnostic and therapeutic services to students with various speech and language disorders. You will collaborate closely with educators, parents, and other professionals to develop and implement individualized treatment plans that address students' communication needs effectively.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify speech and language disorders in students.
- Develop and implement personalized therapy plans tailored to meet the unique needs of each student.
- Provide direct therapy services to individuals and small groups, utilizing evidence-based practices.
- Monitor and document student progress, adjusting therapy strategies as needed.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other specialists to support students' academic and social success.
- Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and provide input on students' goals and accommodations.
- Stay current with best practices, research findings, and trends in the field of speech-language pathology.
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred.
- State licensure or eligibility for licensure as an SLP.
- Experience working with school-aged children in an educational setting is highly desirable.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to develop and maintain positive relationships with students, colleagues, and families.
