ProCare Therapy is currently seeking a dedicated and passionate Special Education Teacher to join our team in St. Joseph, LA. As a contracted Special Education Teacher, you will play a vital role in providing tailored education and support to students with diverse learning needs. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), assess student progress, and create a nurturing learning environment that fosters growth and development.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students with special needs.
• Provide differentiated instruction to meet the unique learning needs of each student.
• Utilize a variety of instructional strategies and resources to support student learning and engagement.
• Collaborate with school staff, parents, and other professionals to support student success.
• Monitor student progress and adjust instructional strategies as needed.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student progress and services provided.
• Participate in professional development activities to enhance teaching skills and knowledge.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education or related field.
• Valid Special Education teaching license or certification in the state
• Previous experience working with students with special needs preferred.
• Strong understanding of special education laws, regulations, and best practices.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
• Dedication to providing high-quality education and support to students with diverse learning needs.
