Special Education Teacher - Boulder, CO (2024-25 School Year)

ProCare Therapy is seeking a passionate and dedicated Special Education Teacher to join our team for the 2024-25 school year in Boulder, CO.

The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to supporting students with diverse learning needs and creating an inclusive, supportive classroom environment.

Key Responsibilities :

Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) for students with disabilities.

Adapt general education lessons and teach various subjects to students with mild to moderate disabilities.

Use a variety of teaching techniques and strategies to meet the unique needs of each student.

Collaborate with other educators, parents, and professionals to create and maintain an effective learning environment.

Monitor and assess students progress and provide regular updates to parents and school administrators.

Maintain accurate and complete student records as required by law, district policies, and administrative regulations.

Attend and participate in IEP meetings, parent-teacher conferences, and other relevant meetings.

Qualifications :

Bachelors or Masters degree in Special Education or a related field.

Valid state teaching certification in Special Education.

Experience working with students with special needs, preferably in a school setting.

Strong understanding of IEP development and implementation.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.

Preferred Skills :

Experience with various teaching methods and educational technology.

Knowledge of local, state, and federal regulations regarding special education.

Ability to manage a diverse classroom and handle challenging behaviors effectively.

Bilingual abilities are a plus but not required.
