Primary Objectives

• Job in a Nutshell: Play, analyze, and document mobile video games to create comprehensive guides that enhance player engagement and understanding.
• Gameplay Mastery: Immerse yourself in various games to fully grasp mechanics and strategies.
• Content Creation: Write detailed, clear, and engaging game guides with step-by-step instructions.
• Collaboration: Work with product and user acquisition teams to ensure content accuracy and clarity.
• Research and Development: Stay abreast of the latest gaming trends and releases to inform content.
• Quality Assurance: Provide feedback on game functionality and user experience.
• Technical Communication: Translate complex game concepts into simple, actionable guides for players.

Detailed Job Duties: (typical monthly, weekly, daily tasks which support the primary objectives)

• Daily Tasks: Play new and existing mobile video games, noting down mechanics, strategies, and potential improvements.
• Weekly Tasks: Draft and revise game guides, collaborate with teams for feedback, and update content based on the latest game patches and updates.
• Monthly Tasks: Review gaming trends, attend team meetings to discuss content strategy, and submit reports on user engagement with the guides.

• Passion: A strong passion for mobile video games is non-negotiable.
• Communication Skills: Excellent written communication skills are essential. Write detailed game guides, including step-by-step instructions, tips, and strategies.
• Analytical Skills: Ability to play and understand different game genres and explain their mechanics.
• Attention to Detail: Must be able to identify and articulate complex game concepts in a simple manner.
• Stay updated on the latest gaming trends and releases.

The Nice to Haves: (ex: preferred additional skills, education, experience, certifications, licenses)

• Experience: Prior experience in gaming or technical writing is a plus.
• Education: Courses or certifications in technical writing, game design, or related fields are beneficial.
• Technical Savvy: Familiarity with content management systems and SEO best practices is preferred.

Pay TransparencyThe anticipated hourly pay range for this position is $16.00 to $20.00 per hour. The final salary offered to a successful candidate will be dependent on several factors that may include, but are not limited to; the type and length of experience within the job, type and length of experience within the industry, the type and length of knowledge and skills for the position, education, training, etc. Prodege is a multi-state employer and final compensation within this range could be impacted by work location. Please note that the compensation details listed in US role postings reflect the base salary only, and do not include bonus, equity, or benefits.
