JOB TITLE: Distribution Analyst FLSA STATUS: Non-Exempt
SUPERVISOR’S TITLE: Customer Service Director
General Summary: Looking for an opportunity with a growing organization? The Distribution Analyst for our growing cooperative, coordinates distribution systems and product delivery process to ensure proper supply is available and timely delivery to customers. This role will track and analyze product flow from origin to delivery, establish, maintain, and audit interface data and is responsible for troubleshooting internal or external issues to resolution to ensure the highest level of efficiency and customer satisfaction.
Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Collects, interprets, and analyzes various types of logistics data including availability of product, reliability of transport and delivery, and other data related to product distribution.
  • Develops and maintains distribution management systems (to include the application of par levels and min/max parameters) to ensure a high level of customer service while minimizing inventory levels.
  • Maintains database(s) of logistics information.
  • Develops analytical tools that allow us to benchmark against the performance of the distribution program and identify opportunities for future growth.
  • Develops and analyzes reports to target efforts to maximize distribution efficiency.
  • Develops processes to increase and/or improve distribution metrics to meet/exceed customer goals.
  • Identifies opportunities to improve efficiencies in the methods used to proactively monitor distribution efficiency while minimizing costs.
  • Provide proactive and responsive service to the distributor network to ensure timely and uninterrupted product availability.
  • Proactively monitors and analyzes transportation costs, product procurement and inventory issues such as back orders, and other fulfillment and delivery metrics to prevent out of stock situations from occurring.
  • Performs detailed and segmented analysis on available pricing and depletion data.
  • Establishes and understands the relationship that shipments, depletions, and promotions have on distributor inventories and develop processes to proactively respond.
  • Secures timely orders to support custom promotions from buyers/replenishment as required.
  • Support ad-hoc analytical projects, as requested.
  • Maintain departmental process documentation and expectations.
  • Drive continuous improvement activities to streamline daily operations.
  • Builds rapport with vendors and ensures they receive excellent customer service.
  • Collaborates effectively with internal colleagues to address any issues or process improvements which may include, but is not limited to, sales and supply chain departments.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient computer skills, including word processing, spreadsheet software, and database applications.
Education and Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain or related field required. A minimum of 1-2 years' experience in vendor managed inventory, supply chain management or distribution planning required.
Physical Requirements: Ability to lift 10-15 lbs. Ability to sit or stand for prolonged periods of time.
Working Conditions: Standard office setting.

Salary Range: 55-65k. We offer a competitive full suite benefit package including health, dental, vision, disability, life insurance, 401k. Factors that may be used to determine actual salary include education (or applicable experience), training, job location, competencies relevant to the role, and internal equity.
