Accounting Assistant
Up to $55k bonus
Fully in office - Galleria location
Great communication, time management, data entry, detail-oriented, great customer service skills, experience in invoice processing, and knowledge of Entrata a plus. Room for growth and promotability
Duties:
- Read, forward, and sort daily emails through shared invoice email inbox
- Sort and distribute daily physical mail
- Review and clear bank positive pay exceptions daily
- Research and respond to payables-related inquires (internal and external) daily
- Process check runs 2x per week
- Research and resolve outstanding checks with vendors and past tenants
- Research and resolve pending items from Global Service Support processing
- Reconcile and process MasterCard statements monthly
- Reconcile vendor statements alongside Global Service Support monthly
- Monitor and review AP automation project activity such as Entrata Utility Expense Management and Entrata Invoice Processing Service
- Process 1099s at year-end
- Keep AP folders and spreadsheets updated and accurate at all times (Utilities, Mastercard’s, shared folders)
- Always look for ways to create efficiencies in processes
Qualifications:
- High school diploma required; some college preferred
- 2 years of light accounting and administrative experience
- Solid Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook skills; quick learning and adaptability
- Attention to detail, accuracy, efficient, and commitment to produce quality work
- Positive personality, great energy, customer service centric, team player, flexible, and accommodating
