Based at the company headquarters in Alexandria, VA, this BD Lead will report directly to the CEO and will develop and execute a comprehensive growth plan. Ideal candidates will have a growth mindset, experience supporting DoD customers and possess communication skills necessary to identify, collaborate and respond to emerging opportunities.
Specific Responsivities
- Lead comprehensive BD campaigns
- Identify and track new opportunities
- Manage proposal efforts
- Write proposal submissions
- Manage BD relationships with other companies and prospective customers
- Host weekly BD meeting
- Grow the company in accordance with agreed-to incentivized goals
- Assist in managing government contracts including startup of new contracts
- Extensive experience working with US government contracts
- BD experience – especially proposal writing
- Knowledge of US Navy and / or Marine Corps
- Experience working as a federal government contractor or in federal service
- Advanced knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite of products
- Critical thinking and attention to detail
- Strong work ethic and positive attitude
- Current SECRET level security clearance
- Strong problem solving and time management skills
