Title: Manufacturing Engineer II

Location: University Park, IL (fully on-site)

Pay: $80,000-$93,000

Responsibilities include:

  • Lead Capital Projects; setting up new plant and set up new machines.
  • Lead and manage projects in machine design/procurement, new product implementations, manufacturing engineering, plant automation, and tooling.
  • Evaluate manufacturing processes through research, applying knowledge of product design, fabrication, assembly, and materials, and consulting with equipment vendors and operators.
  • Lead cross-functional teams using Lean Six Sigma and Kaizen methodologies; champion continuous improvement and site enhancement plans.
  • Mentor junior Manufacturing Engineers and guide CNC Programmers, Tool Makers, and Process Technicians.

Ideal Background:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering.
  • 3-5 years of experience as a manufacturing engineer.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite, Microsoft Project, and 3D CAD/Solid Modeling.
  • Working knowledge of metal cutting, forming processes, CNC control, and SQC methods.
  • Experience with capital expenditure projects and machine design/control systems
