Customer Service Rep/Insurance Agent Job Description

Professional Insurance Services in Clinton, N.C. is seeking a self-motivated Customer Service Rep/Insurance Agent to join our team!

Professional Insurance Services is an established independent agency with highly respected insurance companies. We provide full auto, home, and business policies as well as life and health products. Our goal is to give our insureds the best quality insurance for their needs at the best price available.

Qualifications:

• Currently have active insurance license or willing to obtain
• Be self-motivated and complete delegated tasks with attention to details
• Have the ability to work independently and efficiently
• Possess strong analytical skills
• Have ability to multitask and prioritize
• Possess meticulous attention to detail and strong organizational skills
• Have excellent spelling and writing skills
• Be computer literate and proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
• Effectively establish a positive rapport with current and potential insurers
• Maintain a professional attitude and demeanor in communicating with clients
• Reside in or near Clinton, N.C.

Your responsibilities will include:

The Insurance Agent / Customer Service Rep performs tasks that include obtaining information of potential insureds, keeping accurate records, answering inquiries, servicing current policies, offering options for new policies, and providing a pleasant atmosphere for all clients.

• Provide exceptional customer service to potential and current clients which includes responding to insurance availability, coverages, policy changes, quotes, transfers, claims, billing, and eligibility.
• Plan and schedule appointments
• Establish customer relationships and continue contact as needed.
• Update client information in our tracking system to ensure complete and accurate reports.
• Providing administrative support to other agents to enhance office effectiveness by maintaining a strong work ethic with a commitment to success for our customers.

High school diploma is required, and a minimum of a two-year associate degree or work experience is preferred. Prior office management experience and Notary Public certification is preferred, but not required. However, you must be interested in insurance and eager to learn new skills. Full time is preferred, but part-time applicants will be considered.

$12.00 - $20.00 per hour, commensurate with education, skills, and experience. Benefits for full-time employees include paid time off, paid holidays, and retirement plan.
