SENIOR ACCOUNTANT/CONSULTANT - HYBRID (PHILADELPHIA)

Professional Search Advisors is seeking a Senior Accountant/Consultant for one of its top consulting clients in Philadelphia! This Senior Accountant is responsible for performing and overseeing the full cycle general accounting function and along with some light consulting for clients in the affordable housing sector.

SENIOR ACCOUNTANT/CONSULTANT REQUIREMENTS:

• 3 years of accounting experience
• 3 years of experience in public accounting

NICE TO HAVE SKILLS/LICENSE/CERTIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s Degree with focus in in Accounting
• 1 years of supervisory experience

SENIOR ACCOUNTANT/CONSULTANT RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Makes constructive suggestions to improve client programs and policies
• Reviews workpapers and other work products that meets the client’s requirements and PHA quality standards
• Researches program regulations, new HUD notices, and presents findings to clients
• Leads the preparation and submission of Federal and local housing subsidy applications and federal funding for programs for clients
• Provides basic and advanced accounting services to clients including year-end and monthly reconciliation and other HUD financial reporting and compliance items, etc.
• Conducts basic financial statement analysis and understands the finance and accounting functions generally performed by a business
• Assists in managing budgets on engagements to complete work timely and within clients’ expected cost
• Interacts with clients to gain information, documents, and data necessary to complete assigned tasks. Identifies and organizes clients’ financial information; prepares common financial reports and other schedules as requested.
• Coaches less experienced consultants and supervises the work assignments of consultants with engagement team
