Technical Developer Opportunity in Troy, MI
Are you skilled in IBM i Power Systems (AS400) development, particularly in RPG including RPG3 and ILE? We are seeking an expert in Control Language programming with proficiency in internal and external printer files and database files.
Key Responsibilities

• Demonstrate expertise in IBM products such as Query and SDA, with working knowledge of FTP, DDM, and Stream Files.
• Proficient in SQL, including Interactive and RPGILE, as well as non-IBM products like DBU and Hawkeye.
• Experience in SDLC process and project management, including gathering user requirements, developing design documents, and project planning.
• Ability to create quality assurance and test plans, author user documentation, and conduct end user training sessions.
• Experience with DB2/400 and troubleshooting database performance issues.
• Perform system performance tuning, PTF, and Release Upgrades. Knowledge of iSeries hardware is expected.
• Self-starter with excellent communication skills, able to collaborate with cross-functional teams and external vendors.
• Strong problem-solving skills, ability to work under pressure, and familiarity with common business software.

• Proficiency in Microsoft products; Word, Excel, Project, and Outlook.
• Familiarity with Visual Source Safe is a plus.
• Willingness to take on on-call responsibilities.
• Retail experience preferred.
• Knowledge of Lawson financial software and Manhattan WMS software is advantageous.
