Progressive Maryland is Hiring a Field Canvasser Near Largo, MD
The Field Canvasser is responsible for daily door knocking shifts in assigned turf. This is a part-time, hourly, temporary position through Election Day 2024. Hourly rates begin at $20.00 depending on experience.
Responsibilities
- Engage with registered voters in meaningful, one-on-one conversations at their door
- Complete daily walking shifts of 50-60 doors
- Work both individually and within a team environment to set and accomplish daily campaign goals
- Train and debrief daily with a manager
- Assist with preparation of walk packets, phonebanking, and other duties as assigned
- People of all experience levels and backgrounds are encouraged to apply
- Commitment to progressive politics and policies
- Ability to walk for long periods of time
- Great communication skills, professional decorum and demeanor
- Ability to read and synthesize scripted information
- Reliable daily access to transportation
- Bilingual Spanish/English a plus
- Willingness and ability to travel throughout Prince George’s County and Baltimore City
