Project HOME is Hiring a Receptionist Scheduler (Dental Office) Near Philadelphia, PA

Minimum Starting Rate - $16.85/hourly

The Receptionist/Scheduler has the primary responsibility of managing the providers' appointment schedule and registering patients using the practice management system in a Dental Office Setting.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Answer incoming calls as they are presented.
  • Greet patients, register, check in, schedule and answer patient questions. Update the patient management system when needed to indicates patient has arrived or is scheduled.
  • As a front desk team member, the receptionist/scheduler plays an essential role in helping the practice maintain Patient Centered Medical Home standards.
  • Schedule Medical Assistant visits in accordance with SKWC processes.
  • Ensure all patients have accepted insurance or are uninsured.
  • Confirm and record accurate patient information including insurance, address, apartment number and phone number (s).
  • Schedule appropriate patients with Benefits Counselor.
  • Assist in the scheduling of appointments with providers at Project HOME Healthcare Services (PHHS) locations and other agencies.
  • Perform confirmation calls for patient appointments.
  • Prepare daily mailings that are given to the Front Office by the clinical team.
  • Maintain patients' and visitors' privacy and confidentiality.? Treat all (staff, patients, and guests) with courtesy and respect.

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • A high school diploma or GED.
  • Ability to perform World Class Customer Service.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent telephone manners and ability to deliver World Class Customer Service.
  • Prior experience using a Practice Management System (Nextgen or other).
  • One-year related work experience, preferably in a medical office setting.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior experience delivering services to persons with histories of homelessness, mental illness, substance dependence, and trauma would be helpful.
  • Bilingual (Spanish/English) preferred.

Physical requirements:

Sedentary work that primarily involves sitting/ standing.
