Shift/Hours:

• Flexible hours typically starting at 8:00 AM, with an 8-9 hour workday.
• Schedule discussed and tailored to meet both candidate and employer needs.

Holiday/Weekend Requirement:

• Occasional weekends, approximately once every three months.
• Potential holiday work, with opportunities for PTO based on seniority.

Responsibilities:

• Evaluate patients and establish individualized treatment plans using diverse data sources.
• Provide and adapt patient treatment as needed, ensuring documentation is accurate and timely.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure continuous patient care.
• Mentor new caregivers, physical therapist assistants, and therapy aides; provide clinical instruction to students.
• Participate in the development of new services, programs, and quality improvement activities.

Qualifications:

• License: Physical Therapist license in the State of Oregon.
• Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
• Education: Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctorate Degree in Physical Therapy accredited by the Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education (foreign equivalent accepted).
• Experience: New graduates are welcome to apply.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in both inpatient and outpatient settings.
• Additional experience in vestibular therapy, women's health, or lymphedema is a plus.
• Familiarity with Florence and an interest in the Oregon coast.

Unit Details:

• Patient Population: Primarily adults and geriatric patients; occasional pediatric cases due to ortho or sports injuries.
• Common Cases: Therapeutic treatments involving physical agents, biomechanical and neurophysiological principles, and assistive devices.
• Caseload: Varies based on hours worked, with up to 10 patients per day.
• Environment: Newly remodeled gym with advanced equipment, including electric mat tables and Sci-fit bikes. Dynamic interdisciplinary team with a strong vestibular program.

Orientation:

• Comprehensive orientation starting every other week, with the next session beginning on July 15.
• One-week onboarding followed by department-specific training.
• 120-day introductory period.

Pay Scale: $47.01 - $66.37 per hour
