SUMMARY : The Maintenance Mechanic will perform maintenance and repairs on machines and equipment used throughout the facility.
RESPONSIBILITIES : • Completing preventative, predictive, and reactive industrial electrical and maintenance work throughout the facility
• Repair, or replace major system components, including circuit boards and other electrical parts, hydraulic, mechanical, L.P. systems, power steering and transmissions
• Operating standard maintenance tools such as power tools, basic hand tools, pneumatic tools, and electric tools
• Troubleshoot and diagnose most electrical systems on IC and electric forklifts
• Perform and maintain proper battery maintenance on electric equipment
• Documenting all completed work and the conditions found, utilizing maintenance computer software
• Follow all safety procedures while performing work, as well as following all company policies
• Properly identify and order all necessary replacement parts
• Account for all parts, materials, tools and consumables used as required
• Understand and adhere to all safety policies and procedures
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment
QUALIFICATIONS : • High school diploma/GED or two-year equivalent work experience
• Must be eligible to legally work in the United States
• Must be 18 years or older
• Ability to perform physical job duties which may include bending, lifting up to 50 lbs., kneeling, climbing, crawling, and twisting, with or without reasonable accommodation
• Ability to work in elevated areas (4 feet and above)
• Ability to understand and communicate in English (verbal/written)
• Ability to work overtime including weekends, holidays, or different shifts with advance notice.
• Ability to work in varied indoor and outdoor conditions which may include heat, cold, dust, loud noise, etc., with the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
• Comprehends mechanical/electrical schematics, blueprints, and/or operation manuals
• Experience maintaining various electrical components and systems including low voltage automation systems and motor control circuits up to 480 volts

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:
• Must be physically capable of accessing parts of the machine needing repairs or maintenance, either by kneeling or lying on back • Must be able to lift 50 pounds at a time
• Prolonged periods of moving around the production floor
• Work is performed in warehouse setting that includes cold temperatures, high noise levels, bright lights, and stairs.
