As an Aftermarket Technical Specialist, you’ll provide service-related technical support for machine audits, rebuilds, and upgrades. You’ll work closely with the Aftermarket Sales and Service teams, using your strong technical and customer service skills, to help customers with preventative maintenance and machine upgrade opportunities.

Does this work interest you?

  • Proactively contact existing customer that have upcoming or past due preventative maintenance required on their machines. Work with them to identify upgrades and retrofits to improve their processes and production.
  • Identify rebuild and retrofit opportunities for existing customers. Audit their machinery for spare parts needs and develop spare parts kits and upgrades for customer purchase.
  • Work closely with the Aftermarket Parts team to correctly identify components required for machine retrofits and rebuilds.
  • Assist in the quote preparation process and help present proposals or quotes to customers.
  • Analyze customer preventative maintenance programs and rebuild requirements. This involves performing a one-year follow-up after machinery has been commissioned, site visits, reviewing customer records, determining process improvements, identifying required replacement parts, and training needs.
  • Develop contacts and relationships with customers to effectively promote Aftermarket parts/service agreements, rebuilds, retrofits, and scheduled service visits.

  • Associate’s degree in technical field required or equivalent work experience.
  • 2 – 5 years of manufacturing experience in an industrial automation environment, packaging machinery environment preferred.
  • Ability to read mechanical and electrical engineering drawings.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to be calm under pressure.
  • Solid verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong problem identification and resolution skills.
  • Ability to effectively communicate feedback, seek it, and act on it.
  • Ability to take direction and exercise flexibility with changing priorities.
  • Sound analytical thinking, planning, prioritization, and execution skills.
  • Ability to work effectively independently and in a team environment.
  • Ability to champion a safe and quality-minded environment.
  • Ability and desire to travel regionally up to 50 percent.
