Position SummaryThe Clinical Counselor provides psychotherapeutic interventions for children and their families who have experienced traumatic events. Other duties include, but are not limited to:
- Provides care coordination and case management for children and families
- Counsels patient and their families to enhance their understanding and acceptance of personal and situational problems
- Collaborates with program's multi-disciplinary team and participates in development and implementation of treatment plans
- Serves as a resource and advocate on behalf of the client
- Provides documentation in client charts to reflect significant events and progress towards treatment goals
