BASIC PURPOSE:

Perform maintenance/custodial/grounds duties including, but not limited to, the overall maintenance, cleanliness, repair and upkeep of the community, including landscape and exterior image.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Clean and perform preventative maintenance to equipment such as vacuum cleaners, rug shampooers, etc.
• Handle all service requests in a prompt, courteous and efficient manner
• Perform on‑call emergency service as requested/needed
• Deliver various communications to residents
• Perform all maintenance and custodian duties, including but not limited to:

- Prepare all vacant apartments to market‑ready status

- Clean office, community room, washrooms, laundry rooms or other common areas

- Move rubbish dumpsters as directed

- Remove trash and debris from grounds, common areas and vacant units

- Monitor and report any insect damage and/or plant disease affecting community landscape to the Maintenance Supervisor

- Assist in the weekly care of lawns which includes cutting, watering, fertilizing, etc.

- Keep walks and walkways free of snow and ice

- Maintain and account for all property-owned tools and equipment

- Move heavy objects

• Perform other duties as assigned. While the primary duties are restricted to an assigned project, when requested or in a period of emergency will assist with maintenance/custodial duties at other projects.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 25 per week
