Installs and maintains plumbing fixtures and piping systems throughout the medical facilities and the affiliates. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Installs and maintains plumbing fixtures and piping systems for steam, water, gas, air, vacuum, oxygen and other medical gases, backflow preventors,etc., according to standards. Provides for the continual inspection and testing of the plumbing systems. Troubleshoots, problem solves and works independently. Provides inspection reports and projects time frames and repair estimates to management. Performs routine maintenance and other functions as needed and/or requested. Abides by the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability privacy and security regulations regarding all aspects of Protected Health Information (PHI). Performs functions that may affect a population newborn through geriatric. MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED: Knowledge of plumbing codes and ordinances.
