The Promontory Club is looking to fulfill a vacancy for a Food and Beverage AM Fine Dining Server.The Hearth Grill is a relaxed Fine Dining Steakhouse offering an elevated beef and seafood menu.
Our Fine Dining servers meet the member’s food and beverage needs in a friendly and professional manner that is consistent with the highest standards of Promontory Club fine dining restaurants.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
  • Always have a positive attitude, and be a team-oriented person.
  • Greet the Member(s) in a friendly and professional manner developing relationships and familiarities with our members.
  • Making our members “home away from home.”
  • Knowledge of modern food trends, wines and spirits.
  • Familiar with the Fine Dining Steps of Service.
  • Solicit the Member's food and beverage order, make suggestions and explain choices as needed; communicate special requests, dietary and allergic conditions to the kitchen staff.
  • Deliver prepared food and beverages to the guest's table, ensuring satisfaction with quality of the meal; follow-up with guests concerning served menu items and any other food issues.
  • Prepare and present the check, performing necessary cashier service to process the payment.
  • Maintain cleanliness and neatness of guest's table.
  • Help to maintain a very clean and professional looking dining floor at all times.
  • Complete opening and side work in an efficient and thorough manner.
  • Follow all company safety and security policies and procedures; report accidents, injuries and unsafe work practices to management; complete safety training and certifications.
  • Other duties as assigned or as required to ensure the guest has a positive and satisfactory dining experience.
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS AND CERTIFICATIONS: High School diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred; must have or be able to acquire a State of Utah Food Handler's Permit within two weeks of employment; must have a recognized alcohol server training card by the Utah Department of Alcohol and Beverage Control (UDABC); must be at least 21 years of age for serving alcoholic beverages (UDABC).
PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Previous experience working in a casual restaurant environment is preferred; previous experience working with a POS software (Northstar) is preferred; must have strong communication and organization skills; must have a high attention to detail and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment all while maintaining a high level of professionalism.
WORKING KNOWLEDGE TO BE ACQUIRED ON JOB: Abide by Promontory policies and procedures and submit ideas for possible revision; work independently with little supervision; courteous and helpful with Promontory Club Members and employees.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORKING CONDITIONS: Must be willing to work various hours, nights, holidays and weekends when needed; must be able to stand on feet for long periods of time; ability to lift 25lbs regularly and the ability to lift up to 50lbs occasionally; must be willing to work at any F&B outlet when required.
Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.Wages start at $15/hr - $17.00 an hour tip share and will be determined upon employment and will be commensurate with experience.
