PromptCare is seeking a skilled Cash Poster to join our team. As a Cash Poster, you will be responsible for accurately posting payments and adjustments to patient accounts in a timely manner. The ideal candidate will have experience in Durable Medical Equipment (DME) billing and collections. This is a hands-on supportive position, which is customer service oriented, in a fast-paced environment. Reports to: Departmental Lead, Supervisor or Manager 

Job Type: Full-time, 40 hours per week, Monday - Friday 

Locations: Hybrid in King of Prussia, PA

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year experience in medical billing and collections, specifically in DME
• Knowledge of medical terminology and billing codes
• Appropriate computer skills for the position (Microsoft Office Suite) and areas of influence required
• Strong work ethic with attention to detail and quality, is required
• Ability to identify and address issues independently 
• Medical Reimbursement knowledge is preferred 
• Excellent oral and written communication skills are required to communicate with patients, colleagues’ management, and insurance plan representatives

Job Responsibilities, included but not limited to:

• Post payments and adjustments to patient accounts in a timely and accurate manner
• Review and reconcile payments received from insurance companies and patients
• Identify and resolve payment discrepancies and denials
• Maintain accurate records of all payment transactions
• Assist with month-end closing procedures

The employee frequently is required to stand and walk, lift, open filing cabinets and bend as necessary. This position requires the ability to occasionally lift office products and supplies of a minimum weight of 25 pounds but no more than 35 pounds.
