Description
Gas South District Convention Center hosts a mixture of events, concessions, and premium catered hospitality events, the Convention Center Food Hall Manager will office from Gas South Conc. Ctr., supporting the F&B team with a focus on the Food Hall operations.
We are seeking an experienced and diligent Concessions Lead to help lead the concessions program. The Conventions Center Food Hall Lead will be the point person in all concession's aspects on the Operations Team, will attend all events to ensure efficiency, and lead the team in pre-planning and event logistics.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Manages the operations of Food Hall, while assisting team members and maintaining a safe environment throughout operating hours.
  • Greets, directs, and responds to guest's questions and needs.
  • Understands menu offerings, presentation, and pricing.
  • Ensures proper product control and handling of inventory and equipment.
  • Follows payment policies and food safety/sanitation guidelines.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Serves customers in an efficient and friendly manner following outlined steps of service.
  • Interacts with customers and resolves customer complaints in a friendly, service-oriented manner. Relays relevant information to Food Hall supervisor.
  • Performs other duties such as replenishing condiments and general supplies and maintaining cleanliness concession area.
  • Ensures compliance with all sanitation and safety requirements.
Perform other related duties, tasks and responsibilities as required.
Qualifications
Education and/or Experience :
  • 1 year in Concessions experience required
  • 1 year in leadership required.
Specialized Qualifications:
  • Excellent listening and communication skills
  • Renowned time management and organization skills
  • Strong Customer Service skills with the desire to go above and beyond a client's needs.
  • The ability to work alone and as a team.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to learn and adapt quickly.
Work Environment
This position will consist of event attendance, preparation, set up, and breakdown. This position work mostly out of and mainly stay within the Gas South District Convention Center but may travel to other venues within the Gas South Region.
Uniform Requirements
Adherence to Company Uniform Requirements outlined in the Associate Handbook, uniform requirements outlined in your orientation guidelines.
Physical Demands:
  • Prolonged periods of standing, moving through an event space, and traveling from venue to venue
  • Bending, lifting, scooping, and carrying miscellaneous equipment and food items
  • Ability to perform physical tasks; such as but not limited to, lifting approx. 30 lbs.
