Description

Proof of the Pudding (POP) is seeking a Loss Prevention and IT Director to lead all aspects of initial set ups, ongoing maintenance and proactive loss prevention practices on point of sale, computer systems, technical processes, and claim management throughout the company.

The Director of IT will oversee the technical budget, work across a multitude of departments and venues, and should possess strong problem solving, communication, and technical skills. This position will travel often to various events and venues to help facilitate and troubleshoot Point of Sales processes and technical set up.

Position Responsibilities

IT Responsibilities

  • Overseeing all technology operations and evaluating them according to established goals
  • Set up new and existing employees computers with relevant software and security needs.
  • Devising and establishing IT policies and systems to support the implementation of strategies set by upper management
  • Analyzing the business requirements of all departments to determine their technology needs
  • Purchase efficient and cost effective technological equipment and software
  • Inspect the use of technological equipment and software to ensure functionality and efficiency
  • Identify the need for upgrades, configurations or new systems and report to upper management
  • Control budget and report on expenditure
  • Assist in building relationships with vendors and creating cost-efficient contracts
  • Travel to and lead installation, set up, monitoring, reporting, and post-event POS procedures
  • Working with the operations, staffing, and concessions team during events to ensure POS systems are working, troubleshooting issues that arise, monitoring sales and inventory through the POS dashboard
  • Lead venues with point of sale software updates, maintenance, and installation
  • Assist with the installation process of point of sale systems at new venues

Performs other related duties as needed.

Qualifications


Qualifications

  • 5 years of proven experience as an IT director, or similar role, experience in hospitality or Food & Beverage is preferred
  • Experience with point of sales systems, specifically Square
  • Experience in analysis, implementation and evaluation of IT systems and their specifications
  • Sound understanding of computer systems (hardware/software), networks etc.
  • BSc/BA in computer science, engineering or relevant field; MSc/MA will be a plus
  • Ability to travel domestically for 4-10 days at a time

Specialized Qualifications

  • Experience in controlling information technology budget
  • Excellent organizational and leadership skills
  • Outstanding communication abilities

Work Environment

This position will office out of the corporate office located in West Midtown Atlanta . Office work entails computer usage, meetings with multiple venues and people, and communications via email, phone, and in person, and sorting and filing paperwork. This position will also require travel to venues including but not limited to domestic travel while working in temporary structures, indoors, or outdoors.

Physical Demands:

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Periods of standing, moving through an event space, and traveling from venue to venue with bending, lifting, scooping, and carrying miscellaneous equipment and food items
  • Ability to perform physical tasks, such as but not limited to, lifting approx. 25 lbs.

Position Salary & Benefits:

  • This is considered a full time position with a salary range of $90,000 - $100,000
