Our client, a boutique investment firm and private, high-net-worth family office is seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to join their strong, close-knit accounting team. This firm is well established, and you would be at the forefront of a unique industry.
About the role and your impact:
In partnership with the CFO, you will play a pivotal role as a thought partner in continuing the consistent growth of the firm, as well as the accounting team. As a strong operational Accounting professional, you'll bring your expertise gained from previous experience in a Family Office environment, and/or Private Equity/Venture Capital to the table, and thrive if you enjoy working within a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
This role will be based in Manhattan, and is fully in-office.
Key Responsibilities:
- Direct, monitor and execute all daily accounting functions, including heavy AP, Payroll, journal entries, bank reconciliations and managing the GL.
- Assist in the creation and expansion of accounting policies and procedures.
- Manage cash flow, budget preparation and forecasting.
- Review and compile monthly reporting statements, including rolled up and consolidated financials for multiple entities.
- Monthly bank reporting/credit compliance.
- Work collaboratively with internal and external teams to support company accounting and reporting needs, provides financial information for business decisions.
- Own audit deliverables and the external CPA firm partnership. Ensure that the interim and annual audits are completed in a timely manner.
- Develop solutions to complex problems that utilize new, technical methodologies.
- Stay abreast of business and industry changes, share market data and information to inform risk or opportunity.
- Assist with continuous accounting related automation projects.
What you'll bring:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- 7 years of relevant experience, ideally with a previous family office, or experience working with high-net-worth individuals.
- Operational Accounting knowledge is a must.
- Proficient with Microsoft office, Bill.com ideal.
- CPA preferred.
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work autonomously, while building strong working relationships across departments.
- Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet tight deadlines.
- High level of integrity, professionalism, and attention to detail.

Salary : $160,000 - $195,000
